Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 181-pounds.
Delivery: Uses both windup and stretch. In the windup, starts with feet close together facing home and takes a bigger step out before finding his line back to the plate. Glove starts low and breaks high at the top of the leg lift. Keeps head on line and follows throws downhill but could generate more drive from the lower half. From the stretch, hands come set low and break high at the chest with a high leg lift and some tempo. Lands slightly closed.
Arm Action: RH. 3/4 arm action that looks stiff at times but works quickly. Shows healthy deceleration after release.
FB: T73, 72-73 mph. Fastball is thrown for strikes and plays with modest life. Relies more on location than movement to get outs. T1835, 1717 average rpm.
CB: 60-66 mph. Curveball shows softer action and works more as a change of pace. Used to disrupt timing rather than miss bats. T1615, 1338 average rpm.
CH: 67-68 mph. Changeup is thrown with confidence and stays in the zone. Gives him a reliable off speed option to keep hitters honest. T804, 804 average rpm.
ATH: 8.23 runner in the 60. 1.86 and 4.51 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 181-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Slightly closed stance with hands loading into a low launch. There is noticeable hand movement in the load, though he finds a consistent spot in batting practice. Has some twitch but will get around the ball when trying to manufacture power. Timing will need to start early in game play to make this move work. 63.8 mph bat speed with 8 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 80.3 mph. 306' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-68 mph. Throws show some carry with a longer arm action. Release is decently quick for the position and plays well on routine feeds and throws. Arm works best when he stays on time and lets the length work naturally.
Defense: Stays a bit tall at times but consistently works into a solid fielding position. Footwork looks clean around the bag and he appears comfortable handling the position. Moves well enough to keep plays smooth and controlled at first base.
ATH: 8.23 runner in the 60. 1.86 and 4.51 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Vizual Edge: 69.29 Edge Score
