GILBERT, AZ — On Sunday, January 18, 2026, the Prep Baseball Arizona staff was at Gilbert High School for the East Valley Preseason ID, welcoming a strong group of prospects from the 2030 through 2026 classes from across the region. The event served as an early season checkpoint as players prepared for the upcoming spring.

Each participant received a full Prep Baseball profile update including a headshot, video, showcase metrics, and advanced data. With profiles viewed by college programs nationwide, the day provided meaningful exposure while giving our staff an important early look at the East Valley talent pool. This Quick Hits article highlights the players who stood out most and left a strong impression throughout the event.

*PLAYERS LISTED IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

Parker Biltimier RHP / 1B / Basha, AZ / 2027

Parker stood out on the mound with how easy everything looked from pitch to pitch. The fastball jumped out of his hand with real life through the zone, and he showed confidence working it to both sides while filling up the strike zone. His slider was the separator on the day, flashing as a true bat miss pitch he could land when he wanted. Overall, it was a polished look for his age, and we’re looking forward to seeing how that arsenal plays as the competition ramps up this spring.

Hunter Snow RHP / 1B / Chandler, AZ / 2028

Hunter caught our attention with a strong, physical presence on the mound and a fastball that played heavier than the velocity suggests. He worked aggressively in the zone and showed an understanding of how to pitch rather than just throw. The splitter flashes as an intriguing off speed option this will give hitters a different look when he stays committed to it. As his feel for the breaking ball continues to develop, it will be interesting to see how his stuff progresses during the spring season.

Jacob Martinez RHP / SS / Mesquite, AZ / 2027

Jacob showed well as a two way athlete and stood out for his overall feel for the game. On the mound, he mixed four pitches with confidence and showed enough life on the fastball to miss barrels. Offensively and defensively, the athleticism and smoothness showed up on defense and in the box with quick hands, solid bat speed, and clean actions in the infield. He’s a well rounded player we’re excited to follow as he continues to add strength and consistency this spring.

Grady Kelleher OF / Gilbert High School, AZ / 2028

Grady made an impression with his left handed bat and an aggressive approach geared toward doing damage. The bat speed stood out, as well as the ability to spray the field, working both gaps during BP. Defensively, he moves well enough to handle the outfield and works to downhill through the play. As he cleans up the gather and finds more consistency, he’s a name we’ll be keeping an eye on this spring.

Jace Harvey OF / 2B / Brophy Prep, AZ / 2029

Jace showed a balanced and mature approach at the plate for his age, with the ability to drive the ball to both sides of the field. There’s some sneaky juice in the swing, especially when he gets extended to the pull side. In the outfield, he stays through the play and keeps his body moving in the right direction. He’s a young player with a solid foundation, and we’re excited to see how his game translates into live competition this spring.

Mason Madrid OF / RHP / Crismon, AZ / 2028

Mason stood out as a steady, well rounded athlete with contributions on both sides of the ball. On the mound, he showed feel for three pitches and the ability to throw strikes, relying more on pitchability than raw velocity at this stage. Offensively, the swing works with some twitch and leverage, though consistency will be the key moving forward. With continued physical development, he’ll be an interesting follow as the spring season unfolds.

Aiden Shenefield 1B / RHP / Crismon, AZ / 2028

Aiden caught our attention for his physical frame and defensive reliability at first base. He showed comfort around the bag with clean footwork and controlled movements, making routine plays look easy. At the plate, there’s some bat speed and strength present, though timing and consistency will be important pieces to monitor. As he continues to grow into his body, we’re interested to see how his offensive production develops this spring.

Roman Cordero OF / LHP / Mountain Ridge, AZ / 2027

Roman impressed with his controlled approach in the outfield and an understanding of how to use his lower half at the plate. The switch hit look was simple and balanced, allowing him to stay under control through contact. Defensively, he stayed on line with his throws and showed steady actions attacking the baseball. He’s a steady performer whose game should benefit from added strength as he moves through the spring.

Auron Avery OF / LHP / Mesquite, AZ / 2027

Auron showed versatility as a two way player with a balanced overall skill set. On the mound, he filled the zone with multiple pitches and relied on control and mix rather than pure velocity. Offensively, the left handed swing is simple and efficient with some twitch and solid exit potential. He’s an athletic mover we’re looking forward to tracking as he continues to refine both sides of his game this spring.

Jaxon Garcia 2B / SS / Chugiak High School, AK / 2029

Jaxon stood out as a young middle infielder with a clear plan at the plate and solid athletic tools to build on. The swing shows some bat speed and intent, though continued improvement in lower half usage and barrel control will be key. Defensively, the actions are controlled with room to get more fluid as he gains experience. He’s a developmental follow whose progress during the spring will be worth monitoring.
