Sturdy base with feet shoulder width apart, transfers weight into back leg with slow tempo leg lift. Loads hands down & back. Lands in a strong launch position. Quick swing with present bat speed, accelerates on plane efficiently. Used a pull approach with loud contact, 95.87mph exit velocity via Trackman, hitting a ball 345ft in BP, squared up a double over LF’s head in live game action. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Limited pre-pitch routine, rugged footwork, average body awareness. Fields ball on heels, firm hands, creates little momentum into throws, can create more urgency. Developing arm strength at 69mph. Bat has some power potential that should be followed.
6-foot-3 195-pounds, sloped shoulders, long legs & arms, present strength, seems to be even more room to add weight as he looks lighter. Hits from a semi wide upright base, rocking into the back leg with a toe tap. Mixes in a leg lift at times. Lands in a solid launch position. Good hand speed, getting on plane with short level swing. Power potential for future with 85mph exit velocity as he starts to develop more feel for the barrel. Produces little momentum on upper body dominants throws. Let the ball get to him. Average athleticism around the bag. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Potential to hit as he learns to use his body and finds the barrel.
