Eddie Salcedo (Nogales, 2024)
Compact build with some strength in the lower half. 7.4 runner in the 60. (OF) 71 mph OF velo. Clean glove work, fields the ball outside of the body with one hand. Throws were low and on target through the cut. Room for some added arm strength. (IF) 70 mph IF velo. Swings the hips open while getting to the outside of the baseball. Feet get a little stagnant at times, room for added rhythm and timing with the feet/body. Transfer happens at the shoulder. Arm plays best from 2B. (Hitting) Max EV 87.2 mph. Max Dist. 276 feet. RH. Simple set up, slightly outside the shoulder with base. Hands held just above the shoulder with loose grip. Small knee to knee stride direct to pitcher. Loads into his back knee/hip. Best contact is to the middle of the field, when he lets the ball travel. Bat path stays tight to the body with some loft to it. Flattening out the swing some could play best with his profile.
