2022 C Nicholas Warren (Ironwood Ridge)- 5-foot-9, 160-pounds, Arizona Commit, medium athletic build, proportionate body, has added some strength. Easy setup, open stance, back toe pointed inward, uses a heel dominant leg kick, loads to shoulder height, steep entry into zone. Mid-pull approach, gets around it at times, off the end with mostly LD/FB contact, 87.20mph exit velocity with easy effort. Bat speed should improve as he continues to mature physically. Stays low with athletic primary stance, natural flexibility, short arm, accurate to the bag, transfers in center of body, relax & stick receiver, quiet actions.
5-foot-9, 150-pound, athletic body, projectable frame. Starts in a balanced stance with a tight load, then uses a big leg kick to initiate his swing. Bat speed is average, has long level swing plane and high finish. Produced some loud contact and found a few barrels. Pull side approach. the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 78 mph. Athletic actions behind the plate with some upside. Recorded a 60 time of 7.53 at the event. Throw downs to second topped out at 72 mph; shows a clean exchange, soft hands and consistent quick feet. Some flexibility and athletic setup. While catching, consistently had pop times of 2.18-2.35. Had a short arm action and an-over-the-top slot.
Medium immature build at 5’8” 140lbs, simple approach, squared balance setup with slight leg kick, minimal weight transfer through backside, average contact with 76mph exit velocity, catches from a staggered stance, throws from overtop getting started late, minimal momentum to 2B with 61mph arm velocity, short to bag on 2.37-2.53 pop times.
