Our staff has gotten good looks at Militello since the Fall, and he continues to trend in the right direction. Now checking in at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, he does a little bit of everything as he gets stronger. On the mound he's a clean mover with control for three pitches, running his fastball up to the 82-84 mph range while generating 20.9 inches of IVB, which will play up in the zone well. He also mixed in a breaking ball at 68-70 mph (2300+) and a 74-76 mph changeup. At the plate it's more of the same, but his strength plays up. He's got simple movements with little motion in his hands before generating a hefty swing, elevating the ball with a peak exit velocity of 95.5 mph and carry distance of 261 feet, while catching the sweet spot at a 61% clip. A sleeper on the Island, schools should pay attention to Militello this coming Fall.

Militello is another member of the Victoria Eagles who showed well on both sides of the ball.
On the mound it’s a clean and repeatable motion, living in the low 80’s with feel for a breaking ball and an intriguing changeup. In the box Kayden showed a simple swing that he repeats well. He posted an average exit velocity of 93.4 MPH, maxing out at 96.1, with a 100% hard hit rate. Kayden has added strength and size since our last look in the fall. High academic athlete who has continued to get better every time we see him.
