Dawson Clift was another unsigned senior to show well as a two-way player, but it was the work on the positional side from the White Rock infielder that caught our staff’s attention. Lean, athletic look at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds and his 60-yard dash of 7.16 was fourth best at the event. Clift had a good approach throughout BP, consistently on-time with a healthy mix of line drives and flyballs to the middle part of the field. Clift’s peak exit velocity of 89.7mph and peak distance of 328ft were both second best at the event. The feet work well up the middle and he was also up to 76mph across the diamond. The Tritons infielder looks primed for a strong season campaign.
