At 6’2” 175lbs with room for more, Cohen has the look of a next level pitcher at first glance. When you see him on the mound you get completely convinced that’s what he is. Working mainly with this fastball and slider, Cohen had moments of dominance in this outing backing an earlier look I had at him this season. His fastball (87-90mph) has some riding life in on the hands to righties which paired with his ability to spot it to all quadrants made for some uncomfortable at-bats throughout his outing. His slider (73-74mph) was sharp with late tilting action. It was a pitch he used to both righties and lefties generating whiffs and bad swings throughout his outing. Had one pitch barreled in his outing where he scattered six hits and two of them were infield singles and two more were on bunt base hits. It’s a simple, repeatable delivery from a high 3/4 slot, with action on his fastball that gets on hitters in a hurry. The slider is a present weapon as well. He threw two changeups (I didn’t get velo) that also induced two whiffs.
