California State Games - In one of the games, Ljepava (L/L) had the opportunity to show his prowess as a defender in centerfield and he absolutely capitalized on that opportunity. He was running down balls from gap to gap and deep into a BIG centerfield. It got so ridiculous to the point of players on the field audibly saying, 'HIT IT TO SOMEONE ELSE!' He's a good runner, not a burner, but good enough with those jumps and angles and anticipation, not to mention how he shades hitters pre-pitch. The arm is adequate. Offensively he's got a slashing stroke with a quick bat. He's going to get more physical and even so, he's able to produce EV over 90 mph.
Positional Profile: OF/LHP Ljepava is a vacuum in the outfield. Pair that with plus speed a good contact bat, he is a '24 worth looking at.
Body: 5-10, 149-pounds. Lean and athletic build. Good coordination and flexibility. Needs to add some mass to fill out the frame.
Hit: LHH. Slight knee bend setup with hands above the shoulders. Toe tap trigger; generates coil with the hips and goes knob-to-ball with barrel. 63.6 mph bat speed with 20 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 86.0 mph. 302' max distance.
Arm: LH. OF-78 mph. Clean and quick arm action, gets the ball out with pace in a hurry. Accurate throws.
Defense: Positions himself well, gets his momentum moving down hill towards the target.
ATH: 7.09 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.93 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 5-8, 140-pounds. Lean sinewy body type on athletically proportioned frame.
Delivery: Rhythmic fluid delivery, hands work in sync with feet, high knee lift, continuous movement throughout delivery, in-line stride, balanced in fielding position after release.
Arm Action: LH. Clean quick arm getting to high-3/4 slot, compact and circular on backside, throws ball easily.
FB: T74, 70-73 mph. Big arm side movement, starts in zone and can get chases out of zone, comes out hand easily w/projectable spin.
SL: 63-65 mph. Smaller break, traditional slider shape, showed feel around the zone, with strength he will be able to rip it more.
CH: 63-64 mph. Similar look to FB until bottom drops out with late arm-side fade/run, well-above avg feel for his age.
