Musser continues to put on a show every time I get a chance to watch, he has a mix of an all around player, making athletic plays at SS, possess speed on the basepaths, and can spray the baseball around the field. He produces at a high level and impacts the game in many ways on both sides of the field. He hit A 2B in his first at-bat to LCF in what would be a close game vs a quality arm. He displayed his ability to hit to all fields with his compact swing, staying on the inner half with quick hands, and is capable of extending through the zone. His ability to make consistent contact is a strong part of his game. His sound approach and repetitive swings with good attacking angles with his barrel gives him an edge at the plate, especially vs tough competition. Musser has a blend of pull side power and barrels the baseball gap-to-gap. He is someone to keep an eye on this summer and 2026 as he is a big impact player that simply does it all at a high level. On the season, he is hitting with a .388 AVG and getting on base with a .475 OBP.

Musser had a fantastic day against Palo Alto as he came just short of hitting the cycle with a HR, 2B, and 1B. He had tons of defensive highlights at SS making tough plays look routine and flashed athleticism that takes his game to the next level. Musser stands at 5'8" but the LHH packs a punch with pull side power in his bat. He turned on an inside FB for a HR as his quick hands and fast bat speed allowed him to attack the pitch with force. His 2B and 1B were both to his pull side as he continuously is able to get extension through the zone in every at bat. In his final ab he had an opportunity to hit for the cycle and went down 0-2 in the count. Instead of getting into swing mode, he still worked the zone, protected, and waited for his pitch on a 3-2 count. Musser ended up taking the walk but this shows no matter the situation he will stick to his approach to get on base. His swing consists of smooth mechanics and he consistently gets behind the baseball creating backspin. On defense there were two plays that stood out, one on a throwdown and another on a high bounce in the infield. Runner had a delay steal and the catcher threw down late. Musser slid, caught the ball, and tagged the runner all in one motion. On a high bounce towards the MIF with a chance to turn two, he occupied 2B, caught the hop with his foot on the bag and fired to 1B for the double play. He is an overall great athlete that can make every play with extremely fluid actions on both sides of the diamond.
