Moore hasn’t been performing the best at the plate since the past couple weeks of the season, but he proved this game to be a force on the offensive side. Moore hits in the top of the lineup in front of Belding, the San Diego State signee had a base to left field, it was a good job by Moore on going the other way with the pitch. Moore has a history of being able to put that ball in play and make the defense speed up. With his size and athleticism, he will have a shot to be a role player in the years to come. Moore’s most important at bat came late as DO was down 5-0 going into the top of the seventh inning. A couple weeks ago, DO was down in the top of the sixth and put up a seven spot against Lincoln High School. Moore came in clutch with a bases clearing triple that would add on to the massive inning. The swing was short and he ended up pulling it down the RF, hands stayed back just enough to keep it fair and there was no question it was going to be a triple out of the gate. Defensively, Moore committed two eros this game but he made up for it with his bat when it mattered.
