3/18/18 – UNLV commit. 6-foot-4, 175-pound, large, tall frame, with wirey, slender build and plenty of room for physical growth. Hanson's frame can definitely handle more weight and muscle without compromising his athleticism. He possesses future power potential, a smooth left-handed stroke, excellent hand-eye coordination with an awareness for the barrel and strike zone. Hanson can get beat inside with a +fastball at current time, due to all the moving parts and his long limbs, but added strength will allow him to get to this ball and drive it down the right field line. He is an adequate base runner with good speed, but should be able to increase speed with added leg strength. Hanson had trouble setting up hops in the pregame outfield reps, leading to balls off the heel of his glove, so I didn't get a good read on arm strength, arm action or carry.
