Home to First
The athlete's fastest home-to-first time in the given event year. Measured from bat-on-ball to foot-on-bag, in seconds (s).
4.51
Long rangy athletic body type (6-foot-4 190-pounds) that stands out when he's standing in centerfield and then he had a couple of chances to show that he is indeed a good athlete (also a contributing player on the DHS basketball team that went 25-6). He closed on the ball well in front of him, nearly making a diving catch on a line drive that was being pushed down quickly by a heavy wind and then showing good footwork and angles back and to his right as he gracefully tracked a ball down in the left centerfield gap. Offensively he's got some things to work out but has some life in the barrel and enough bat speed. Timing and balance are things to smooth out. Ran 4.51-4.54 down the line but looks to be a better runner than that underway. Given his status as a multiple sport athlete and a hoops player in particular (can take them a bit of time to get their feet under them in the baseball season), he's still likely a ways away from his ceiling if he chooses to continue after high school.
Summer Upperclass Tourney - Physically put together quite well, athletic long and strong body type, certainly draws the eyes, strong outfield arm with accuracy, was able to throw balls on a line in the air and long hops to the infield very well, throws have good carry on it, bat has some potential as well, overall quite a projectable talent.
