Defensively: INF mph – 82, OF mph – 89; Efficient footwork, soft hands, quick funnel to waist, has arm angle versatility, gets ball out quickly with what would appear to be an accurate baseball clock in his head; calm and smooth approach in OF, fields out front and quickly gets ball underway with a strong arm.

Carpentier is another quality player coming out of Huntington Beach HS. His athleticism shined in both his OF and INF workout and showed he can handle the bat in BP, but he really impressed on the mound. His mid-80s FB paired well with his SL as both came out of the same slot, had consistent arm speed, and had + spin.
