Body: 6-3, 180-pounds. Projectable build. Large frame with long limbs.
Hit: RHH. Athletic stance. Slightly open with hands set behind his head. Hands load into scap as he strides forward creating some good separation. The barrel has a clean entry into the zone while staying connected. Turns tight and quick. Good extension post-contact. Consistent barrels with a wood bat throughout the round.
Power: 91.00 max exit velocity, Some decent power projection is there. Current doubles power but rotational acceleration average of 20gs shows a high power ceiling that can be reached with increases in bat speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 75.00 mph. Easy effort. Short and snappy arm action. 5/5 accurate during the defensive workout. Quick to release.
Defense: Above average defensive actions. Gets to his spots and sets up his body well for throws to 1st. Showed glove skills and decent feet. Probably projects to 3rd down the line.
Run: 7.21 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Slow, under-control delivery with no real interruptions to the flow of energy. Sidestep windup with medium-high hands. Clean leg lift and extremely efficient backside for size. Sits into hip hinge and rides down the mound. Visible effort upon ball release.
Arm Action: RH. Medium-length arm swing that works down out of the glove but appears to get up and on time consistently. Has some whippiness and is in a good position to impart spin on the ball.
FB: T87, 84-86 mph. Average 85 with 18.5" of induced vertical break. max IVB of 20.7". This combination of velocity and ride suggests this pitch will have success and miss bats up in the zone.
SL: 73-75 mph. Harder breaking ball with a small amount of drop and a decent amount of horizontal sweep (5.5"). From a metrics standpoint, this pitch will tunnel well with the fastball when used in a more east-to-west fashion.
SPLT: 71-73 mph. Above-average offering. Outlier separation in terms of velocity and movement when compared to the fastball suggests usage of this pitch should be high. 60% in zone rating shows a feel for strikes.
