The 2023 Prep Baseball Future Games Alum for Team California got the ball to start the game for the Wildcats of West Ranch and did not disappoint in the first start of his senior season. Solidly built with a clean delivery that he repeats well with high quality arm speed Manning flashed a solid three pitch mix. Fronting his arsenal was a FB that he threw at 87-90 MPH over the course of his four innings of work, but peaked at 91-92 MPH over the first two innings and then hit 91 MPH again on his last pitch of the outing. Backing up the FB was an intriguing tight SLD which operated at 79-81 MPH with late hard bit when executed properly, but shows some inconsistency in the feel for the offering. His third pitch was a softer looping CB in the 74-76 MPH range which when thrown down in the zone flashes life to induce chase from hitters. Manning punched out seven Lions hitters while collecting 17 whiffs over his four innings.
