Today was my first time seeing the Otter commit and he showed good actions at SS and impressive power to his pull side in the batters box as a RHH. Liberman started the scoring in the ball game with a HR just inside the foul pole in LF for his 1st HR of 2025. He drove a down and in located FB for a solo shot in the top half of the 1st inning. His HR adds to his great start to the year where he is now hitting .455 with 8 extra base hits and has an OBP north of .580. He has a toe tap trigger in the box, with his hands just below the shoulders in his setup. His HR got immediate backspin and got out despite the wind blowing in all game. At SS, he moved well with multiple arm slots that were accurate. He looked very comfortable moving to his glove hand side and took good reads on balls he had to charge and was able to get a good hop for himself. Despite the loss, Santa Monica is still in a good spot, sitting at 1st place in league play (7-0) and 12-6 overall with Liberman right there in the middle of all of the action for the Vikings.
