2025 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MLK WEEKEND SCOUT NOTEBOOK: Laubacher was up against a tough lineup vs Corona in game one. Showed his fastball (85-88) effectiveness with a strong breaking curve (69-70) and slider (75-77). The junior displayed strong feel for secondary pitches and had late snappy action with depth on both slider & curveball manipulating hitters' timing well. Fastball had tight movement with life and used all four quadrants of the zone. Presented repeatable mechanics with a high three quarter arm slot on the mound while piling up strikeouts and whiffs with his entire arsenal. As the Oklahoma St. commit continues to ramp up for the season, the righty displayed many starting pitcher characteristics in his start vs Corona.
