Cook was nearly unhittable in his outing against the Golden Eagles, I haven't seen him since the end of Summer where he pitched for the Peloteros team against the California Tigers. The senior right hander went four innings, walking only one, and striking out eight guys. Cook works with a four pitch mix, mainly using the fastball to get ahead in the counts. Very impressive how he was working both sides of the plate, painting corners with heaters, and then mixing in his secondary stuff. The FB velocity was sitting between 88-91 mph T92, with lots of life. The later the game went on, Cook's velocity took a jump where he was consistently in the 90-91 mph range in his last inning of work. The CB was 74-76 mph with some good bite to it. Cook also led the Fighting Zebras in offense as he went 3-4 at the plate with a double, he was causing havoc all day whether he was on the mound or in the box.
