10-24-2018: Large frame showing extended length in arms/legs and high waist with maturing lower half that can still add strength to frame (6’4/205); very projectable built. Hands start at chin dropping and holding at waist as he steps back with slight pause; quicker front leg with foot angled upwards as back knee drives body down the hill before showing some kickback into hip socket over stiff front leg. Loose arm has length in actions down before quickly getting to ; arm shows above average quickness that projects more available velocity. Fastball 88-90 mph average with flashes of more when showing late life working both sides of the plate; times where he catches too much of the plate with the pitch while working in upper half of zone. Changeup flashed above average with arm side run and showing more sink when the pitch was turned over; feel for the pitch with the ability to go back-to-back and used to put hitters away. Slider 76-77 fringe average with shape breaking late at the plate; pitch flashed better when being sharper and staying on top of the pitch. Average control of all pitches with higher command grade on CHG. Has only been a pitcher for two years so limited innings on the arm and still working for full mastery of his mechanics and body while on the hill. Very high ceiling available for frame and repertoire. (Ozella)
