Ramirez is a senior catcher for the Marauders and he was exceptional behind the plate when catching all of these very good arms from the Jesuit Staff. It’s not easy when you consistently have to catch dudes over 90 miles an hour plus and a lot of secondaries to back that up, props to Ramirez for holding the bullpen down. He had two plays that really opened my eyes with Ramirez on the day. The first play was showing off his athleticism where he picked the ball and threw the dude out on his knees, the arm strength was impressive and how quick he got rid of it. The second play was the final play of the game for the Marauders and Ramirez came through by jumping on an off-speed pitch to left field for a walk-off win. It was right over the plate just enough for Ramirez to get a good barrel on it into LF for a base hit. Ramirez is an uncommitted senior but I think any team that is willing to take a shot on him can benefit from his talents.
