10/27-10/29/18 - NCTB Fall Classic - 5-foot-11, 185-pounds on large frame showing a strong lower half with good thickness currently; frame doesn’t look like it’s going to add much, but can tighten as he matures. Balanced stance showed a compact stroke with consistent hard contact to the middle of the field (88 exit velocity). Consistently drove line drives between middle infielders in BP with carry into outfield gaps and showed same approach in game. Athletic out of box using longer legs to get down the line and get to full speed later down line (7.44 60-yd, 4.7 H-1st). Showed quick reactions at 3rd base with plenty of arm to stay there and solid footwork at SS that will translate to 3rd base. On mound works with his hands holding at the chest and showing a high front knee that adds some deception; compact arm get to a high-3/4 release point hiding behind his back and coming in at a steep angle. Fastball 77-80 working at the high release for angle with occasional cut to the glove side. Curveball 66-68 12/6 shape showing big depth and having 2-level break; showed the ability to manipulate the break to go into and out of the zone as needed and used for strikeouts. Pounded zone, attacking hitters and working quickly on the mound.
