Prototypical catchers frame. A bat-first catcher, Mungarro shows the ability to catch up to balls on the inner half as he turned on an 88 mph fastball on the hands that he hit out for a home run. Uses a slightly crouched stance with quiet hands at the shoulder. Mungarro gets the barrel through the zone on an even plane. Present gap-to-gap hitter with power potential. Defensively Mungarro is a strong backstop with nimble actions and reflexes. Shows soft hands when receiving and catches the ball out front. Frames well on borderline pitches often getting the call for pitchers. Regularly popped 2.01 - 2.11 with in-between inning throwdowns. Average runner.
