2019 Elk Grove (Elk Grove, CA) SS Kordell Brown is listed at 5-foot-8 150 pounds and currently uncommitted. Throws right and hits switch (only say him hit left). Started at shortstop and hit third. Compact-athletic build with on-field flow and rhythm. Took a clean infield-outfield with a clean and quick transfer and consistent throws making up for slightly-below average arm strength for SS at the next level. Fundamentally sound base running and looked slightly above-average when running. Showed well in his at-bats with a solid approach and was a tough out. Very patient at the plate, showing good hand-eye coordination wasting pitches with foul balls. Keeps hands low allowing for a level swing plane through the zone and smooth finish. Showed ability to hit to the opposite field and looks like there is some pop and bat speed. Uncommitted senior with a good hitting approach and athletic skill set.

Uncommitted. Small compact athletic build, plays with a bounce in his step and natural athleticism and actions. Quick release on throws, efficient and quick turns on double play, can occasionally play a little loose with the ball, ran ok but there is more footspeed than his home-1st time indicates, lively swing with ability to turn on quality fastball. Good young athlete and one to see again in spring of his senior year, has tools.
