Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 170-pounds. Extra large frame that is lean, wiry, and twitchy. Long legs/arms with large hands. McCollum’s overall game is a bit raw, but there’s no denying the present tools and projection he possesses. Ran a 7.22 60 yard dash to open before showing off a slightly handsy swing at the plate where he routinely squared the ball up. Starts upright before using a leg lift/toe tap trigger to initiate swing. Gets barrel on plane and keeps it there throughout his swing. Shows excellent balance throughout the swing and can get to the outside pitches with the barrel. Defensively McCollum shows excellent footwork while getting to and working through balls while funneling out front. Transfers were quick with strong, accurate throws to the bags at 77 mph.
