PBR Future Games:
Continued to flash his above average defense showing off his arm strength and his excellent footwork. Defensively one of the top players in his class in the state. At the plate he impressed with his strike zone awareness and understanding and commitment to his plan. Drew four walks during the event and had a pair of hits.
The 5-foot-8, 145-pound shortstop has a quick first step and bounce to his overall game, and watching him take ground balls throughout pregame, it was evident that he can really pick it. The right-handed hitter sets up relaxed and slightly open before squaring off with a short stride that separates the hands down and back. He works directly to the ball with quick hands, and appears to have some spray power right now. The reputation of the SoCal shortstop has long been known, and Rosales has a chance to continue the lineage.
