Event: NorCal Underclass Game
Positional Profile: SS/P
Physical: 5-7, 135-pounds; lean body type, lanky with long levers, looks like he will grow into a tall person; 7.83 60-yard, 20.3” max jump height.
Offensively: RHH. EV max – 81.5 mph, hand speed max – 19.2 mph, bat speed max – 55.5; Medium width feet in set-up with slight knee pinch, slightly off the plate, fairly high knee lift with smooth body control out to aggressive stride, aggressive full swing w/fly ball intent, big finish around the back, stayed through middle in four game at-bats w/ground ball contact.
Defensively: INF mph – 73; Calm approach to ball, works to circle ball and create in-line angle to get throw off, has confident feet and confidence in his glove, some athletic actions, longer arm action that can make getting the throw off quickly enough on a consistent basis.
Delivery: Slight pre lift step back, lifts just above waist, drops into back leg over robber while creating shoulder tilt, slight cross body stride, lands with slightly open landing foot with FB while in wind-up and landing more closed out of stretch, spins off to 1B side through finish as glove arm pulls through and behind his body.
Arm Action: Long backside, loose arm action with no restrictions, gets to high-3/4 release.
FB: T71.3 mph, 67-70 mph velo range, 1817 max spin; creates some arm side run and fade when down in zone, able to get inside vs LHH while creating some scissor effect given the cross body stride.
CB: 63-65 mph, 1471 max spin; smooth rolling break, higher release height than with FB.
