2/22/19 - Listed at 6' 2" 235 R/R and the senior captain of Francis Parker HS. Committed to UC-Davis. Displayed average receiving skills and worked to frame pitch-to-pitch. Strong forearms and base allowed for good stickability and ability to frame. Side to side blocking needs work but handled dirt balls in front well. Opposing team ran on him once and he attempted to throw the runner out from knees at 2.33 seconds to second base. Did not backup first base on infield ground balls. Took pitches well and hunted fastballs up. Walked twice, reached 2nd on a misplayed flyable and doubled down the third base line. Employs a conventional leg kick. Struggles keeping weight back from the leg kick which projects poorly against faster pitching. Showed the ability to keep weight back and land simultaneously on the double down the third base line. Big catcher who showed ability to become a starter in college down the line.

9/30/18 - Showed off some power during his batting practice sessions where he hit at least three balls out of the yard. The rising senior peppered the gaps when he wasn't hitting balls out. In game he turned on an 85 mph fastball on the inner half that he put over the left field wall that got out in a hurry. The UC Davis commit has present power that should continue to develop.
