At San Lorenzo Valley: Seems to consistently find barrels whenever I see him. In this look was the DH and ended up on base three times with three hits including two lasers off the bat. Hitting against a closed front side the loose wrists create a whippy flat bat as he rocketed a ball at the pitcher and then another into RCF. The speed is an interesting tool as he moves well, but is by no means a blazer; picked up two stolen bases and both were on FB. Frame has lean strength and could still make another jump physically.
2/26/19 vs Carmel - started in RF and hit in the 4 hole for the Mustangs and had a great day at the plate. He went 2-2 with a BB driving in three and scoring three runs. Medium frame that is strong with wide shoulders and muscular upper half. At the plate he keeps an open stance with very high hands showing a compact swing that attacks fastballs. During his 1st AB he drove a double down the line flashing some bat speed. Later on he stayed on a FB to the outer half smoking it through the middle of the diamond. His feet are heavy and doesn’t look to be much of a base-stealing threat, but showed he could score from 2nd and go 1st-to-3rd. In the OF he has short range with a fringe arm that has some length out of the glove, but it plays up with a quick release keeping the ball online through his cut men. The uncommitted OF’s bat has a chance to do a lot of damage in the middle of the lineup and fits in a corner spot or possibly 1st base in the future.
