ACG Tryout - Aggressive attack angle from the left side that creates good backspin. Really drives the hips after keeping his weight back early. Watson had excellent ABs during the tryout (two HH 1Bs). Defensively, Watson lacked carry on his 84 mph tosses. Ran a 6.82 second 60 yard dash.
Positional Profile: OF/1B
Body: 5-7, 143-pounds. Small frame, athletic body type.
Defense: Aggressively charges ball, gets rid of ball quickly.
Arm: LH. OF - 63 mph. Sling arm action, 3/4 slot, lacks carry.
Hit: LHH. Wide feet, weight back early, hitter-ish setup, creates barrel tilt, fluid rhythmic actions. Strong contact skills, barrel feel, drives hips, creates backspin, all field stroke.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity.
Run: 7.89 runner in the 60.
