Physical: 5-10, 165 pounds; Average, athletic build. 7.71 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with a quick leg kick trigger and good utilization of the back side. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a one-handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 87.00 MPH via Trackman. Hands worked inside the ball. At times he was late at contact.
Defensively: INF - 76.00 MPH. OF - 78.00 MPH. In the outfield he showed a good approach to the ball. Displayed glove early and transitioned into his crow hop smoothly. Average arm strength. Medium arm swing from both spots 4/5 accurate 1 hop throws from the OF. At 1B showed a good skill set. Good feet that play through the ball with soft hands. Quick to release on DP balls.
Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Medium athletic frame that is starting to fill out.
Hit: LHH. Slightly open, slight bend in knees with relaxed hands in stance. Simple forward stride but starts early while coiling. Swing path is flat-uphill. Is extended through finish. No ground balls throughout BP round. Pull-side approach.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity. Good feel to the pullside. When he gets out in front projectable power is there.
Arm: LH. INF - 76 mph. Short fluid arm action that is quick to release. All accurate throws throughout the defensive workout.
Defense: Solid defensive actions. Light on his feet with soft hands. Clean and quick exchanges. Also good around the bag.
Run: 7.12 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Rhythmic delivery. Side steps and uses an over the head hand pump. Gets into a belt high leg lift he syncs with his drop into his back leg. Drives down the mound hard and fast. Keeps shoulders in line for as long as possible. Finishes with a firm front leg and in a good fielding position.
Arm Action: LH. Loose arm action with a longer arm circle in the back. Comes out of the H 3/4 slot. Decent arm speed that accelerates late in the action
FB: T75, 70-74 mph. Very minimal horizontal movement and showed flashes of good spin with max 2200rpm.
CB: 60-62 mph. Showed good bite decent spin at around 2300 rpm.
SL: 65-67 mph. Showed decent horizontal movement. Same armspeed as FB.
CH: 64-65 mph. Lower spin straight change that showed good fading action late.
PBA SCOUT DAY:
Body: 5-8, 140 pounds. Athletic frame, lean body with long legs.
Hit: Hit mechanics are advanced as the first thing you see is how efficiently he coils/internally rotates and gets into his backside. Utilizes a leg kick while his hands work back then the bat starts working in the zone early and on the plane through to extension.
Power: Maximizes his power with his hit mechanics but with added muscle for strength gains it could be a very powerful swing. He showcased warning track power to the pull side with long fly balls to center.
Arm: Was quick from glove to release with good footwork that gets him in position to make accurate throws.
Field: Plus feet for a 1B as they were agile and quick. Really good glove skills as well as hand to glove exchanges on throws to second. Also picked it well at first with good movements around the bag. Athleticism could lead to an easy transition to OF if needed.
Delivery: Utilizes a belt-high leg lift. Drops down a little into his legs and pushes off the rubber. Finishes online with the plate, a soft front side, and in a good fielding position.
Arm Action: Pitches out of the high slot with long loose arm action. Releases out in front with good extension.
Pitches: FB T73 (71-72), CB 61-63, CH 64, CUTTER 66-69
