Entrekin had a huge day at the plate. He barreled the ball 3 times for hits but none were bigger than his opposite field 2-run HR in the 4th that extended the Eagles lead to 5-2. He hit the ball hard the other way twice and smoked a line drive to RF for a hit as well showcasing his advanced bat to ball skills. He has a simple swing in the box with a small leg kick that helps fire his hips for power to all fields. His average this spring is now .476 through his first 6 games with his OBP at .542 and has an OPS at a whopping 1.304. He is a big part as to why Granite Hills is currently #13 in the state and 6-0 to begin the season. He’s in the middle of all of the action so far and one of many threats at the top of the Eagles lineup that can score in bunches.

Entrekin's prowess at the plate is what he may be known for, but what he did on the mound opened some eyes. The Granite Hills SS/3B is a career .307 hitter on varsity with 21 XBH in his two full seasons as a starter. In the game, he had multiple good at-bats, and although he didn't grab a hit, he rocketed a line drive to CF at 90 EV. He hopped on the mound and delivered an interesting look, 86-89 with a 77-79 breaking ball. This new look at Entrekin offers intrigue to what's to come for him this year at Granite Hills as a 2-way player.
