Kotsay, like Nady, is the son of an MLB veteran. He has a tall 6’2 frame that is physically mature with some strength. He got in work at third base and shortstop, looking the part. He got reps on JV last year with Cathedral Catholic’s loaded 2024 class, hitting .318 over 85 at-bats with seven extra-base hits. In-game, he shot a double into RCF to collect two RBIs. Audibly in the on-deck circle, Kotsay displayed a strong understanding of the game with clear intent of his approach based on past outcomes of his teammates and in-game situations.
