Positional Profile: LHP/1B
Physical: 6-3, 190-pounds; Long broad frame, projects to be a physical body as he moves forward; 7.73 60-yard, 20.3†max jump height.
Delivery: Hands start high then move down to waist with slight prep step, high lift into tuck over rubber, smooth down slope as he stays closed, very slight cross body stride from 3B side of rubber, lands with stability while creating leverage through the finish, pulls glove arm through release, finishes square to plate.
Arm Action: Compact backside with pre-set elbow hinge, smooth with no restrictions on way to high-3/4 release, full shoulder finish.
FB: T83 mph, 81-82 mph range, 2071 max spin; Higher release best results coming from considerable arm side run and some steepness through the zone, able to confidently get inside to RHH while staying closed also allows him to crowd LHH with the FB run.
CB: 68-69 mph, 2382 max spin; Fairly tight with some quick smooth action, more of a wide slider shape than CB with depth, considerably lower release than the FB.
CH: 74-76, 1782 avg spin; Big running change of pace, feel for the pitch, slightly lower release off FB look, presents similarly enough as FB to be effective particularly so due to the finish in the delivery and ability to sell the arm action.
