vs Marin Catholic - Uncommitted; 6-foot-0, 180-pounds and built like a soccer player, candidate for a breakout season, athletic 2nd baseman, versatile arm, bouncy feet, good strength and at the plate he’s got life in the swing and the hands work to and through contact. There is some sneaky pop in there and with his speed he’s going to rack up some extra hits this season. Chance to play in college as an athlete/offensive 2nd baseman
Scrimmage vs Casa Grande HS - Body type continues to be one that draws a scout's eyes. Good lower half, built and put-together well, high-waisted with good agility. Offensively he was impressive in this scrimmage, inside the ball without being inside-out, drove ball to left field twice while staying behind the ball and letting the barrel live through contact. Was the best looking hitter on the field all day. Lined a ball off the left field fence against an inside fastball and narrowly missed driving the ball through the left center game as he got under a pitch just a bit, but both swings displayed same hand path and ability to get the barrel to the pitch. Took balls well, with balance and looked like his approach is refining. Looks like an uncommitted player with breakout offensive potential.
Preseason scrimmage - Lean and wiry body type, bounces around the field with light feet and some twitchy actions, aggressive hitting approach, jumped on first good fastball he saw and twice drove balls into the gap, runs well and runs bags aggressively, athleticism translates to the infield or outfield, certainly fits at 2nd base where his defense is a strength, needs to show more consistency with the bat but is flashing the tools to suggest he might get there.
