Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Physical: 6-3, 180-pounds; Long, average build. 7.74 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman. Worked with approach to spray the ball around with a contact oriented approach, showed on-plane consistency with hand speed and bat speed projecting future power.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; walks into ready position while playing low to the ground. Hands are underneath the body while staying low during transfer. Long arm swing from a low-3/4 arm slot. 1B - 70 MPH. Loose arm, comfortable throwing on the move, occasional up to down as ball gets into his body, shows focus and sense of urgency.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride while landing closed. Long arm swing while arm wraps behind the body; standard 3/4 slot. Upright with finish. FB: Peak velo of 73 MPH, while sitting 70-72 MPH; arm side run. SL: 60-63 MPH; 2-tier break. CH: 68-70 MPH; fading action. Presents a unique look with sinker slider profile and a change to play off the FB, loose arm, could perhaps drop down further to enhance his stuff which isn't velocity focused.
