Watson turned in a big offensive performance, delivering a home run off the scoreboard and a ringing double into the left-center field gap as part of a monster day at the plate. The 2027 infielder showed a confident presence in the box, consistently putting strong swings on the ball and showing the type of impact bat that can change the momentum of a game. He also worked a seven-pitch walk that helped spark an Eastlake rally, showing patience and feel for the strike zone in addition to his pull-side power. Defensively, Watson was steady at shortstop, handling every routine play and showing natural instincts on balls hit his way. He made two clean plays to his forehand side, reading for the correct hop, and finished with strong throws from short to first, with modest carry. The overall package includes a loud hit tool paired with growing confidence on the field. Watson has opened the spring swinging it well, currently hitting .400 in the early part of the season, and looks poised to be an important piece for Eastlake as the year continues.
