Lauridsen was once again his consistent self in front of close to a dozen pro scouts despite the fastball command coming and going during his outing. He remained poised and attacked hitters with his three-pitch arsenal working the fastball 91-92mph and holding velo into the sixth inning where he was 90-91mph. Worked the pitch to all quadrants of the zone mixing eye levels while also working in-and-out to both sides of the plate. The slider flashed plus at times with multiple shapes - one humpier like a curveball, and more sweeping. Used it as an out pitch later in the game while getting 12 whiffs throughout his outing. The pitch worked 77-81mph and, like the fastball, he held velo on the pitch his entire outing losing just one mph in sixth. Like every great Foothill pitcher before him, Lauridsen features a changeup that at times can flash above average. Wasn’t turning it over early before finding his groove with it using it as a strikeout pitch later in his out. Despite not having his best stuff, Lauridsen was never in danger of losing control of the game and finished with seven strikeouts, one earned run, two hits, and three walks over six innings.

The USC commit righthander out of the Orange County area took the mound for the 4th inning on the Brewers side and quickly generated plenty of buzz behind the plate from the bevy of evaluators in attendance. A solidly built 6'4 200 lbs. frame that elicits "prototype pitcher" comparisions when you see him put together potentially the best 5-6 batter results of any arm in attendance. Working off a 3 pitch mix fronted by a 90-93 MPH FB which touched 94 showing life out of the hand. Following the FB his 77-80 MPH SLD was the primary secondary with power break in the shape showing swing/miss life. His 3rd offering was a 82-84 MPH CHG which he used predominantly vs. LHH. He showed a relatively easy operation getting down the mound with fast present arm speed and strength which combined with his size/feel for the strike zone give him a strong starters profile. Showed the ability to control his FB to both sides of the plate and throw his SLD both in the zone and below the zone, didn't get an extensive look at his CHG, but he did show some present feel for the offering. Lauridsen punched out 4 of the 5 hitters he faced (spaced around a HBP which restarted one AB after reaching 2Ks and deep count BB on a borderline 3-2 pitch). He opened the inning winning a 9 pitch AB against Bruin Agbyani picking up a pair of whiffs with his SLD. Then got to a 2K count versus Mason Belding and missed with a backfoot SLD that hit the LHH in the foot which restarted the at bat and he came back to punch out Belding picking up whiffs with both his FB/SLD. He struck out his 3rd hitter Hunter Harrington via a bevy of 92-94 MPH FB getting whiff on the FB before walking Caleb Danziesen in a 8 pitch battle with a borderline 3-2 pitch which could have gone either way then completed his outing by striking out McCoy Silicz looking.
