Schmitt has emerged as one of the top left-handed hitting outfielders in Northern California. Before this season he was uncommitted but recently he had just committed to the University of California, Berkeley. Schmitt has pop to both gaps and has shown great bat to ball skills and has shown he has been one of Foothill's leading offensive hitters. Coming back for his senior season, Schmitt will become one of the leaders of the team.
