Tseng put together a strong offensive day, collecting two hits and reaching base three times while consistently finding the barrel from the leadoff spot. He showed an aggressive approach early in counts, attacking pitches he could handle and using the whole field with a level swing path. The bat-to-ball skills immediately stand out, and his strong afternoon pushed his season line to .317 with a .420 OBP. The present offensive feel is already evident, and the next major step in Tseng’s development will be adding strength to his frame. As he continues to fill out physically, those gains could complement his natural barrel control and also help defensively, where added strength may improve arm carry and solidify his long-term ability to remain on the left side of the infield. The athleticism to handle shortstop is already there, making him an intriguing young infielder whose profile could take another jump as the body matures.
