Schneir was a local product who made his way to the Central California Preseason All State event and showed why the talent in the High Desert is routinely very solid. The uncommitted '26 out of Paraclete is more compact and athletic than imposing checking in at 5'8 150 lbs. presently that can improve as he matures. But, the tools he showed during the workout were very intriguing including what he does in the RH batters box. His best defensive home is likely at 2B/3B though his arm will need to tick up a bit to handle 3B. Schneir has present bat speed in his RH swing that gets up to 81.5 MPH while showing the ability to use his hands with 20.4 MPH of hand speed. Both of those metrics combined with his feel for the barrel to be on time generated 57% hard hit/sweet spot rates and a peak EV of 96.3 MPH. As well, Schneir showed how his swing plays in game by drilling an extra base hit during game play. Schneir will be on my follow list for the spring to get back out as see during CIF-Southern Section spring season play.

Noah Schneir, PARACLETE HIGH SCHOOL (CA), 2026 Positional Profile: SS/3B RHH profile shows present ability with an interesting potential. Flashes 3 position versatility on the defensive side. Body: 5-8, 150-pounds. Compact athletic build with wiry strength at present. Hit: RHH. Medium width set up with feet slightly open and slight crouch in knees. Minimal hip hinge with hands set above ear height close to his head and barreled angled behind his head towards 3B coaches box and higher back elbow. Coils the front shoulder to angle barrel behind his head to start load with a leg lift on front side and shift into backside. Longer stride in forward move that creates space for his hips to work which show quickness in the turn and ability to get into his back leg. Hands and barrel work up through the ball with swing path geared to elevate the baseball. 74.3 mph bat speed with 7 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 87.0 mph. 313' max distance. Sneaky power with solid top end EV and ability to drive the baseball on a line from middle of field to pull side. Power plays as doubles with sneaky HR potential. Can add more as he matures. Arm: RH. INF-77 mph. Gets depth with his hand during the backswing of the throw, but does have a slight hitch with hand before moving forward. Quick arm which flashes carry/accuracy from SS. Defense: Shows rhythm in his feet and body control working into and through the ball. Hands are soft and sure with comfort playing 2 handed. More fundamental with control than dynamic. Profiles as 2B/3B. ATH: 7.47 runner in the 60. Derives off the line with burst while staying lower throughout with short quick strides.
