It was our second look at the Sophomore this spring and he impressed yet again at the plate. Batting in the 9-spot, Wilson holds a strong approach at the plate with excellent barrel skills which help to turn the lineup over. Turning the lineup over is exactly what he did Monday evening, as he would go 2-for-3 with 2 1B and a HBP. In each at-bat where he got a base-hit, Wilson ambushed the first pitch both times and collected two singles. Both knocks were nearly identical to one another as he would show great balance through the zone to drive a pair back up-the-middle. The feel for the barrel is present as well as showing a strong ability to get on-plane while working up the middle of the field.
