Uncommitted. The junior drew the start on the Mound for Milton’s first game on Friday. Showing a dynamic three pitch-mix. The fastball lived 85-87 and topped at 88 with easy life out of the hand. The curveball was thrown at 71-73 as well as flashing a changeup at 76-77. Showing an innate feel to land all three in the zone. At the plate, Brantner was on a tear Saturday night picking up three hits in a win. Putting together impressive plate appearances all game long the RHH shows impressive hands through the zone with excellent feel for the barrel while getting on plane seemingly at all times in an advanced approach. Brantner will fill multiple roles for the Eagles this spring and is poised to have a breakout year.
Lean, athletic build. First time seeing Brantner did not disappoint. He came out firing in the first from a high ¾ slot, that as turbo sinkers running in on righty’s hands. He was up to 87, but is coming off a few weeks off with the flu. He had a big time first performance back with a win against Pope, but is still getting back in sync. He flashed all 3 pitches in the first, and was really impressive. The CH fell off the table coming out of the same slot as the fastball, but with 10 less mph. The curveball is in the low 70’s with tight spin, and late break, that fooled hitters. The velo dropped a tick as he went on, but was still flashing 85’s later in the game. Brantner is going to a high follow for us going forward as one of the top rightys in the ‘26 class.
