4/25/26
The Cincinnati commit put together a stellar showing in the box during GM2 as he paced the Wildcats to a win. Went 5-for-5 with 3 singles, double, triple, and an RBI while using the whole field extremely well. Immense projection in the tapered 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame with an abundance of projection. The RHH gets the front foot down while maintaining balance and huge impact at contact that shows often. Above-average bat speed and barrel accuracy stand out in a physical, compact path with minimal wasted effort throughout. Explosive, controlled hands with ability to find contact throughout multiple parts of the zone. Shows a potential plus defensive profile in centerfield as he showed extremely well across the series. Boasts excellent instincts with tons of range that shows often to track balls into both gaps while flashing present above-average arm strength. Johnson showed well amongst staff this Spring and the draft helium is quite easy to see as he very well could hear his name called this July.
2/26/26

Cincinnati commit. Johnson had a big night, going 3-for-4 with a home run. He did damage early in the count and consistently found the barrel, hitting everything hard. Twitchy athlete with raw tools and true gap-to-gap power. In CF, he made every play look easy, showing great instincts off the bat and taking the right angles in the OF. Good runner with solid in-game speed. At the plate, he’s looking to do damage, and he did a good job of not chasing last night while attacking pitches in the zone. He continues to show impact upside with the bat when he stays disciplined and hunts pitches he can drive.

2/24/24

Wiry 6-2 175lb frame with plenty of room for more. Flashes of explosiveness. Adaptability & quickness stand out in swing, rhythm will play against all speeds and locations. Manipulates the barrel with twitchy movements. One to watch as he adds strength and continues to fill out.
