The Carson-Newman commit provided immense impact both at the plate and defensively as a key piece in the win over Gilmer. Armed with big-time strength and physicality in the stout 5-foot-9, 185-pound frame, the game power shows up regularly for Jenkins. The RHH sent a couple of frozen ropes to the pull-side including a loud line out, 2B, along with a backside 2K RBI single. Utilizes a leg-kick load as he stays balanced through the zone and delivers an explosive barrel with leverage to the pull-side. Huge bat speed through the zone stands out with real impact in the barrel and present feel to hit as well. Jenkins, a vocal leader, offers a high-floor profile behind the plate as well with innate arm strength and a high IQ. Got crucial outs behind the plate as he threw out three runners across the evening. The senior will provide high-level impact on both sides of the ball while offering value on the mound and brings a strong makeup to lead the Dragons as well.

The uncommitted sophomore backstop has been a source of power this spring for the Dragons, and came through with a couple loud barrels in a big win. Physical at 5-foot-9, 180-pounds, Jenkins incorporates a strong lower half well at the plate with a well-balanced swing from the right-side that generates good leverage through the zone. There's real impact in the barrel that has shown significant raw pop to all-fields. An excellent receiver behind the plate with good arm strength as well, and Jenkins is quickly putting together a strong all-around profile.
