Portraying an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame, Cooper Burnside (Dunlap, 2027) was dominant for Canes in their game against Razorbacks Navy. He threw 5.2 innings striking out five, and only allowing one walk. Mechanically, the righty displayed a slight bend in his back knee, fully extending his arm on the way back while keeping the ball hidden from the batter’s view. He also displayed a 3/4 arm slot and landed with his foot pointing towards the right handed batter’s box. Burnside possessed a fastball that topped 81 mph and mostly sat 77-79 mph which was thrown both arm and glove side, with a sharp slurve that sat 66-68 mph.
