7/24/17: 60 Time: 7.76, Position Velocity: C-68, INF-75, Exit Velocity: 81. 6-foot, 185 pound senior RHH hits from a slightly open stance, choppy rhythm to load and hit. Uses a leg lift to load and squats, hands and barrel staying high in strong launch position. Front foot lands slightly open with an average lower half working through the baseball. Uphill, long bat path through the zone with pull side approach. Bat drags at times. Good frame. Delivered accurate throws around the base at second. Quick transfer and release. More arm strength and carry needed. Uses high OT release, shoulders over rotate prior to release. Stands tall after catch, more in the lower half to use towards second. Stiff lateral movements to block, more flexibility/mobility to cover ground side to side. Corner infielder, long arm action with OT release. Glove works with soft hands, more foot speed and lateral range needed.
12/7/14: 5-foot-10, 150 pound freshman is a young, raw receiver. Stiff target with a tendency to let the glove float. Does possess some twitch. Behind the plate was 63 mph with pop times between 2.33-2.43. At the plate starts in an athletic setup and uses a short stride. Good balance throughout the swing. Long path the baseball, uses the opposite field. Shows some stiffness. Registered an exit velo of 73 mph.
