4/7/15 -  Hutson is a San Jacinto CC (TX) commit and 2015 MLB draft prospect. Athletic 6-foot-185 frame. Carries himself with great confidence. Simple delivery with some effort, stays under control and locates. Mostly fastball dominant today sitting consistently at 90 mph, touching up to 92. Locates low and away from right-hand hitters well. Showed a hard biting breaking ball at 74-76 mph and has feel for 76 mph change-up. Threw a seven-inning shutout giving up two hits, two walks while striking out eight.

8/24/14 - Once again Hutson showed impressive stuff in one inning of work at the Get Hits for Education All-Star Game.  Fastball clocked at 89-91 mph, hard 71-73 breaking ball.  Arm strength guy with plus athleticism.

3/27/14 - Garrett Hutson, Augusta HS, the #2 ranked Class of 2015 prospect in Kansas, started game one for Augusta. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-hander came at hitters mainly with his fastball which initially sat at 88-89 mph. He was able to throw it low and away for strikes on a consistent basis.  In addition he flashed a 81 mph change and a 66 mph curveball.  His motion is simple, in line with little extra motion.
