Body: 6-foot-2, 197-pound physical frame.
Hit: (RHH) Started in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Above Average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill swing. Gap to gap approach.
Power: 92 mph exit velocity, average 77.08 mph. 65.91 mph bat speed average. 19.77 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (IF) Firm hands, average footwork, packing exchange. Solid. Fields the ball deep, movements laterally were athletic.
Arm: 80 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot.
Speed: 7.66 (60-yard).
Pitching: Above average. Drop-and-drive delivery, some effort. ¾ arm angle, above average arm speed, loose arm action. Tall balance point, downhill shoulders, lands closed, an upright finish.
FB: T84. 82-84 mph. (Max spin 2154; Avg 2042). Some accuracy, running action, heavy movement.
CB: 68-70 mph. Some command, tight action, 11/5 shape. (Max spin 2505; Avg 2433).
CH: 77-77 mph. Fading action.
6-foot-2, 180-pound projectable frame. During batting practice, Childers had an exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a small load, then uses a short stride before his swing. He found some barrels in his round. Average in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 78 mph; had sure hands, a clean exchange and average footwork. Had consistent accuracy to the base with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.69. On the mound, showed a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Uses some effort in his delivery. Lands closed. Splitter (72-75 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 77-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph; showed decent control and running action with heavy movement. He showed occasional command and sweeping action on his 10/4 curveball (67-69).
