Richardson came back last weekend for the Bears series against the Rebels, after recovering from a high-ankle sprain, and he seems to be a piece to the puzzle that makes their team whole. He played 2nd base in Game 1 and shifted over to 3rd base in Game 2, where he made a couple of really nice plays at the hot corner. The former Future Gamer and Southeastern Louisiana recruit was also stellar at the plate, as he went 3-7 during the series with a 2B, 5 RBI, and 3 R. A high energy guy who plays with his hair on fire, one thing is for sure, the Catholic BR Bears are excited to have Richardson back in the fold.
6'1" 160 lbs. with some projection still left. We had the chance to see the two-time former Jr. Future Gamer last Friday in a JV relief outing against Barbe, and we're definitely glad that we decided to go to the game. Richardson came in relief in the 5th inning and came out attacking hitters, at a quick and up-tempo pace, with a 84-87 mph FB, which was a personal best. This wasn't a typical Barbe JV lineup either, as there were 3-4 guys in the lineup last Friday, that are everyday starters on the varsity. He did an exceptionally good job at locating his heater to his glove-side and at the bottom of the zone and the pitch showed some late tailing life. Heading into the summer, Richardson is definitely a 2026 for college coaches to circle as a guy to see.
